I have been in the Mortgage business since 1991 which gives me 19 years expierence in Residential Mortage Lending. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Accounting after attending LaSalle University and Rowan University. How I entered this industry is interesting. In 1991 I was buying my first home and was referred to a Lender in the area. At the time I had little knowledge of Real Estate and Mortgages. I was not sure what I had signed at the application and was kept out of the loop. I received no status updates and NO RETURN PHONE CALLS. I was pretty much left out in the dark until the day before closing when the loan officer finally called me in a rush to get a bunch of documents over to them (Yes , the day before settlement!). It was not an enjoyable expierence. I knew I could do a much better job if I worked in this field. I basically employ these 4 simple rules in my career as a Loan Officer/Mortgage Consultant. 1) I ALWAYS ANSWER MY CELL OR RETURN CALLS PROMPTLY. 2) I make sure my clients understanding what they are signing. 3) I always keep my Clients and their REALTORS updated throughout the loan process. 4) I always do my applications in person and ALWAYS attend my closings! At Northen States it is a perfect marriage between the support and technology offered here and my "Old School" Customer Service. I know the REALTORS I deal with on a regular basis appreciate my 4 simple rules becasue they tell me it makes them look better too. Sincerely, Michael Kenney Vice President
